Subsequently, he was named the Thane District chief by the party in 2005 after being elected to the Maharashtra state assembly the previous year.Since 2004, the 58-year-old politician won four consecutive elections in Kopri-Pachpakhadi and served as the leader of the opposition and minister in back-to-back governments before taking charge as the state chief earlier this month. His elevation to the state's top post came after he rebelled against his own party boss Uddhav Thackeray last month, taking away a large chunk of legislators along with him, first to Gujarat state and then Assam state. Both are federally governing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led states. On Monday, Eknath won a crucial vote of confidence to prove his government's majority in the state assembly with the help of the BJP, which has 106 lawmakers in Maharashtra.Last night, he went on his maiden visit to Thane after being made state chief. When he reached the Anand Nagar area of the city, a large crowd showered him with flower petals.Shinde's show of strength in Thane appears to be a signal to his predecessor and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray that his revolt against him has been endorsed by the state's electorate.,Want to know more? Although it was a small injury as per the team, surgery had to be performed to rectify an issue.          Ram Charan goes under the knife     A Hyderabad-based specialist doctor took care of the procedure. The RRR actor has now completely recovered and is set to rejoin the shoot today (March 26). Thanking the doctor, Ram Charan's father and actor, Chiranjeevi, said that it was a "timely and skillful surgery" on his son's eyelid. "It has truly been a blessing. What was a moment of concern for us was eased entirely by your precision, care, and expertise. Your craftsmanship made all the difference, and we are truly grateful," the Megastar wrote on X.          Dr. Sudhakar Prasad garu,Your timely and skilful surgery on Charan’s eyelid has truly been a blessing. Since the incident took place in Hyderabad, the Rangasthalam star could promptly consult a specialist at short notice. Earlier, the makers of Peddi gave an update saying that the hero was doing "absolutely fine". They added, "He had a minor injury to the left eye on the sets, and there was a small procedure done."          Peddi likely getting postponed?     According to the latest buzz, Peddi may not hit the screens on April 30. A postponement is likely on the cards, if the industry talk is anything to go by. Earlier today, Prathyangira Cinemas (Peddi's overseas distributor) postponed the rollout of Peddi's advance bookings from March 27 to April 8. It's speculated that this wouldn't have happened had the theatrical release date remained unchanged. Originally, Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, was earlier supposed to be released on March 26. It was moved to April 30 due to Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar 2. And now, another postponement will upset Ram Charan's fans. The new date could be May 21, as we await the official confirmation. Also Read:  Ram Charan Sustains Minor Injury on Peddi Film Sets。
